The Red Chord

aming themselves after a German play called "Woyzeck" written by Georg Büchner, which was later adapted to opera by Alban Berg under the title "Wozzeck" (since the 'y' in the original title was mistakenly read as a 'z'). The play is about a schizophrenic who near the end of the play cuts his wife's throat and asks: "Honey, what is that Red Chord on your neck?"

After a single demo, the band would debut with Fused Together in Revolving Doors in 2002 under the membership of Guy Kozowyk (live of The Black Dahlia Murder; vocals (lead)), Kevin Rampelberg (guitars), Mike McKenzie (guitars/vocals (backing)), Adam Wentworth (bass) and Mike Justian (drums).

Clients the 2005 follow-up would see Brad Fickeisen now on drums, and Gregory Weeks now on bass.

Jonny Fay would assume second guitar as well as additional percussion (track 14), and vocals (additional; track 5) for Prey for Eyes (2007) and Fed Through the Teeth Machine (2009) before the band split in 2015 to reform in 2022.
