ower metal act Zonata was one of many European bands piling on the power metal bandwagon, with a very Germanic style complemented with keyboards that occasionally gave them a symphonic edge. Formed in 1998, they would quickly sign to 'Century Media' and release three albums from 1999 to 2002 in the form of Tunes of Steel (1999), Reality (2001) and Buried Alive (2002) under the membership Johannes Nyberg (vocals/keyboards), Mikael Hörnqvist (drums), Henke Carlsson (guitars), Mattias Asplund (bass) and John Nyberg (guitars), but by January 2003 the Nyberg brothers decided to depart, and the band officially folded soon afterward.
