ormed by Freedom Call bassist Ilker Elsin, PowerWorld formed after his initial departure from that band back in 2005. As heard on the band's second album, the style here is less Germanic speed metal/power metal and more melodic mainstream hard rock/heavy metal.

Under the line-up of Steffen Brunner (vocals), Barish Kepic (guitars), Ilker Ersin (bass), Jürgen Lucas (drums) and Nils Neumann (keyboards), PowerWorld would debut with PowerWorld (2008) to be followed by Human Parasite (2010) with Andrew McDermott (R.I.P. 2011; vocals) and Achim Keller (drums). Cybersteria (2013), however, saw an entire membership change, now with Andreas Rippelmeier (guitars), Guido Gallus (drums), Marco Grasshoff (keyboards/vocals (backing)) and Michael Bormann (vocals) accompanying Ersin.
