riginally forming in 1997 under the name Dam, after using that name until 2016, Damem reformed in 2016. While under their previous name they released Purity: The Darwinian Paradox (2005) under the membership of Nathanael Underwood (vocals/guitars), Erik Heinø (bass), Daniel Rumbol (R.I.P. 2019; guitars), Jaime Gomez Arellano (drums) and Lal Vipulananthan (guitars). This album would be followed by The Difference Engine (2007) which saw the band reduced to the three-piece of Underwood, Rumbol and Arellano. After the reformation, A Fine Game of Nil (2019) and the World Turned Hell EP (2023) would arrive next under the whole new membership of Underwood now with Flow Toulman (drums), Faust Perez (bass) and Edd Amos (guitars). 'Dāmim' is a Hebrew/Arabic word meaning "Bloodshed". The band's previous name, 'Dām' means "Blood".
