Execrate

Biography

Execrate (1994-2010): a Death Metal band from Dinslaken, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

S

tarting in the spring of 1994, Execrate began with Andi Petry (guitar), Hansi Boer (drums), Stefan Epler (bass) and David Diederichs (guitar). A short time later, the line-up was completed by Marcel Reißmann (vocals), but after a few concerts Matthäus Parzonka replaced Reißmann.

In 1995 Execrate released the song Forces of Storm, which appeared on the Pillepop sampler. But health problems would force Matthäus away from his singing, so Sven Stripp of Mortal Fear recorded the song for him. But this was only a temporary solution, Michael Bröker (ex-Intestinal Ulcer) became the new permanent member for the July 1998 recording of their debut CD Weeping Angel.

After a break, Execrate would return with the membership of Martin Hartisch "Maddin" (vocals), Christoph Stockheim (guitar), Klaus Schow (bass), Hansi Boer (drums) and Andi Petry (guitar/vocals) for Aggressor (2005) and Sweating Blood (2009). The band split a year later.
