Ajdath

Biography

Ajdath (1995-present): a Thrash Metal band from Amman, Jordan.

P

laying thrash metal with some black metal and death metal riffs, Ajdath started in late 1995, and after trying to record demos they would initially fail due to lack of fast drummers. Their troubles were compounded with the bassist Ahmad Jamali having to leave to continue his studies, so the act continued as a one-man project until 2001 under the direction of Omar Kilani until he was joined by Arek Ruth, a bassist from Poland. Together the pair recorded a nine track CD of songs composed between 1996-2000. Then released a three track EP titled They Will Burn featuring a mixture of old school death metal infused thrash metal with blast beat drumming and oriental styled guitar riffs. The EP made it to market in 2003 as Reign Of Serpents. Mikolaj later joined on bass but didn't stick around for Triangle of Death (2006) featuring Omar Al-Kilani (vocals/guitars/programming) with Bartek (drums) and Daniel (guitars). The band has been silent since.
