eathguy, was formed in August 1998 by Verapol Emaree (a.k.a. Ong; guitar) and Narusha Dithabenjakul (a.k.a. Joe; vocals/bass). They started to write songs and recorded their debut EP Introduction later that same year featuring a death metal/thrash metal mix with programmed drums, grayscale cover and Thai lyrics.
In 1999-2000, the pair added Nuttaphum Prapaiboon (a.k.a. Imm; guitar) and Suppakit (ex-Annular Eclipse; drums), who would debut at festival gigs in Thailand like God Beheaded Live 2000, Demonic II, Crossroads Metal Party.
In August 2000 their first album The Secondary Quest had arrived with death metal styled, synthesizer work, full color cover and English lyrics. The album got local distribution by 'Justice Music' but only in only tape format. Side projects were also in the works with Nuttaphum as guitarist in death metal act Black Fire, while Thanit released a demo of his man death metal side-project She's Gore.
The membership in Deathguy was now revised to include Suppakit Chuersuwan (a.k.a. Link; drums). In 2001, Deathguy played support to Sodom at that year's Satan Spawned Fest.
In 2002, 'Trinity Records' of Hong Kong re-released Deathguy's former LP and EP in CD format, as well as their follow-up album, The Secondary Quest: The Legend of Romancer (2000) would show Deathguy forming more into a melodic black metal/death metal band as seen at the 2003 Rock Fest. The festival was also the last time for Prapaiboon, leaving them as a 3 piece again. A new promo was released shortly later in the form of The Beast Zingle Promo.
Concentrate the Annihilation (2004) and the compilation Rot in Pus (2006) followed before the band split up only to reform again in 2015 featuring the returning Narusha Dithabenjakul and Verapol Emaree, along side new members Ritamnat Khantong (drums) and Nick (guitars) both joining in 2019.
Footnote: Do not confuse this band with the American band of the same name.
