Benediction (1989-present): a Death Metal band from Birmingham, UK.

U

nder the membership of Mark "Barney" Greenway (vocals), Peter Rew (guitars (lead)), Darren Brookes (guitars (rhythm)), Paul Adams (bass) and Ian Treacy (drums), Benediction would debut with Subconscious Terror (1990) and The Grand Leveller (1991); the latter featuring Dave Ingram taking vocals. This line-up remained for Experimental Stage EP (1992), Dark Is the Season EP (1992) and Grind Bastard (1998), but had changed to feature Dave Hunt on vocals for Organized Chaos (yes, with an 's'; 2001) and Killing Music (2008). Scriptures (2020), however, saw a change in membership again with Dan Bate (bass) and Giovanni Durst (drums).
