Biography

Hell (1982-1987, 2008-present): a NWOBHM band from Nottingham, England, UK.

B

y the time Hell had released Human Remains (2011) and Curse and Chapter (2013) the membership consisted of David Bower (vocals (lead)/lyrics), Andy Sneap (guitars), Kev Bower (guitars/keyboards/vocals/lyrics), Tony Speakman (bass/lyrics) and Tim Bowler (drums/lyrics (track 8). This was the founding line-up except for original vocals and guitarist David Halliday who committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in 1987. The compilation, Land of the Living Dead (2005) would be released before their debut album as compilation of their previous demo works.

Dave Halliday taught Andy Sneap of Sabbat to play guitar.

It is important to note that their published studio recording came after their initial break-up and subsequent reformation in 2008.
