3D House of Beef

n a dingy Seattle night 3D House Of Beef was founded as an answer to the "overindulgent, overwrought Seattle scene", as their bumf put it. It wasn't until they moved to Alameda, a suburb of San Francisco, that their line-up solidified into Mike Howton (drums), Drew Payne (bass), Nial McGaughey (guitar/vocals/samples; previously featured in a recent 'Mercury/Polygram' signees Nihil, and live shows with Skrew, Nevermore, Kreator, Napalm Death, Tad, Enthroned and many other hard sounding bands). They began recording their music as a way to describe their unique experimental sound that could not be described with words. Indeed, their music was very experimental, almost noise-like. The resulting recordings would be 3D House of Beef (1996), Similar Attack Pattern (1998), Dog EP (2001) and Low Cycle (2001). Similar Attack Pattern ,an album that contained mostly remixed tracks from their past demo works of Crowning on a Ferris Wheel demo (1994), Lazgrodin/Zosaval demo (1995) and Buster/Slip Connect single (1995) saw the band receiving international distribution. In 2001 they split.
