OmegaBIOGRAPHYOmega (1962-1987, 1994-2021): a Hard Rock band from Budapest, Hungary. S tarting in 1962, Budapest's Omega would have a long career starting in 1968 with the dual debut of From Hungary and Trombitás Frédi és a rettenetes emberek under the membership of János Kóbor (R.I.P. 2021 of COVID; vocals), György Molnár (guitars), László BenkÅ' (R.I.P. 2020 of liver failure; keyboards/flute/trumpet/vocals), József Laux (R.I.P. 2016; (drums/percussion), Tamás Mihály (R.I.P. 2020; bass) and Gábor Presser (keyboards). 10000 lépés (1969) and Éjszakai országút (1970) fllowed. A membership change happened for Élo Omega (1972) when Ferenc Debreczen joined on drums. This line-up persisted for Read All... ⏬ Returning in 1994, Omega would resume operations with the releasee of [TransÆndDænce in 1995, and Transcendent in 1986. 1998 would see Omega XV: Egy életre szól arrive. It would not be until 2006 that the next full length would arrive in the form of Égi jel (2006). Rhapsody would come in 2010 with the band as a three-piece in the form of János Kóbor, György Molnár and Ferenc Debreczen. A large number of compilations and several EPs would follow before the band finally quit in 2021 most likely due to the number of deaths.
