Pungent StenchBIOGRAPHYPungent Stench (1988-1995, 2001-2007): a Death Metal band from Vienna, Austria. F ormed in 1988, Pungent Stench has long been revered in the death metal underground for their irreverent take on the world, featuring darkly humorous over-the-top lyrics and album covers. They broke up in 1995, but two of the three original members decided to bring the band back together, and armed with a new bassist, they were back in business in 1999. The act would debut with the Extreme Deformity EP in 1989 under the debut membership of Rector Stench (Real Name: Alexander Wank; drums), Don Cochino (Real Name: Martin Schirenc; guitars/vocals) and Pitbull Jack (Real Name: Jacek Perkowski; bass). For God Your Soul ... for Me Your Flesh would follow in 1990. Been Caught Buttering (1991), Club Mondo Bizarre - For Members Only (1994) came next. Masters of Moral - Servants of Sin (2001) saw Reverend Mausna (Real Name: Mario Klausner) took bass. That bass position was replaced again by Testy (Real Name: Fabio Testi) in 2004 for Ampeauty. Due to various differences between Schirenc and the other members, the band called it quits. Schirenc announced his intention to release a final album, one that was in the works (or possibly completed) before the breakup. That album would arrive in 2018 as Smut Kingdom.
