Damien ThorneBIOGRAPHYDamien Thorne (1983-present): a Speed Metal band from Chicago, Illinois, USA. B and Damien Thorne was one of many similarly styled power metal/thrash metal of the mid-eighties. Their debut, 1986's Sign Of The Jackal, under the line-up of Justin Fate (vocals), Ken Starr (guitars), Michael Monroe (R.I.P. 1993 of motorcycle accident; guitars) and Sanders Pate (R.I.P. 2014 heart attack; bass) was moderately successful, but after recording the follow-up, Wrath of Darkness, with Pete Pagonis on drums, the band fell in to legal problems with their label, resulting in leaving the album unreleased until 2001. The band, or at least part of the band, moved to Los Angeles, but soon vanished completely. Years later, vocalist Justin Fate returned to Chicago, reunited with guitarist Ken Mandat, and along with Tommy Krez on drums and Matt Heuser (R.I.P.; guitars) put out the Former Life EP in 1998. Fate himself later left the band, but Mandat recruited Rick Browz (bass/keyboards), Mike Browz (drums/keyboards/vocals (track 8)) and Joe Martina (vocals) to then record Haunted Mind (2005), End of the Game (2011) with Martin DeBourge assuming vocals, and Soul Stealer (2015) with Warren Halvarson on vocals and Brian Buxbaum (R.I.P. 2021 of stroke; keyboards).
