ussian nu-metal band Slot was founded by vocalist and songwriter Igor "Cache" Lobanov and Denis "Dan" Khromykh in 2002 in Moscow, Russia. Their debut came in 2003 with the SLOT 1 album released by the 'Mistery Of Sound' label with the second album, 2 Wars arriving in 2006. Trinity (2007) and 4ever (2009) followed.

2011's Break The Code would be the band's first effort at an all English language album with a special edition issued for Japan. F5 followed later that same year.

In early 2014, Slot released the crowd-funded album, the aptly titled Sixth. On April 18, 2014, during an autograph session with fans at a café in St. Petersburg, Nookie was stabbed multiple times in her neck. She was promptly taken to the hospital, where doctors described her condition as "moderately serious," but her life was not at risk, 10 years later she'd leave the band. Indeed, she was one of many band members over the years including former members (as of 2024): Daria "Nookie" Stavrovich, Denis "Dan" Chromyk, Alexsej "Proff" Nazachuk, Teona "Teka" Dolnikova, Uljana "IF" Elina, Mikhail "mikhei4" Korolev, Mikhail "MiX" Petrov, Nikita "NiXon" Simonov, Kirill "Mr. Dude" Kachanov.

Septima (2016), 200 kW (2019) and Survival Instinct (2021) followed. By 2024 the line-up featured Igor "Cache" Lobanov (vocals), Sergey "ID" Bogolyubsky (guitar), Nikita Muravyov (bass) and Vasilij Gorshkov (drums).
