nergetic crossover-influenced thrash metal is alive and well in the new millennium, thanks to bands like Virginia's Municipal Waste. Virtually every song on their 2005 Earache debut Hazardous Mutation is a non-stop thrashfest. Before that big breakthrough, Municipal Waste would debut with the Municipal Waste EP in 2001 under the line-up of Brendan Trache (drums), Andy Harris (bass), Tony Foresta (vocals) and Ryan Waste (Real Name: Richard Ryan Joy; also of-Bat; guitars), followed by Waste 'Em All (2003) with Brandon Ferrell (R.I.P. 2016; drums).

Hazardous Mutation (2005), theThe Art of Partying EP (2007), The Art of Partying (2007), Massive Aggressive (2009), The Fatal Feast (Waste in Space) (2012), Slime and Punishment (2017) and Electrified Brain (2022) saw Land Phil (Real Name: Philip Kyle Hall; bass/vocals (backing)) and Philip Kyle Hall (drums).
