Omnium Gatherum (1996-present): a Death Metal band from Kotka, Kymenlaakso, Finland.

mnium Gatherum is a Finnish band specializing in melodic death metal, a field more often dominated by their Swedish neighbors. Their debut album, Spirits and August Light (2003), under the membership of Markus Vanhala (guitars/songwriting), Jarmo Pikka (drums), Harri Pikka (guitars/songwriting), Janne Markkanen (bass), Antti Filppu (vocals/lyrics) and Mikko Pennanen (keyboards), combines some of the more familiar sounds of the genre with a slight melancholic edge. The name "Omnium Gatherum" is a Latin phrase that is literally translated as "a grouping of all things." It does not specifically infer this as people, objects, or intangibles but simply as anything and everything.

Years in Waste (2004), the follow up, featured Jukka Perälä now on synthesizer.

2007's Stuck Here on Snakes Way saw Aapo Koivisto take keyboards, and Jukka Pelkonen on vocals and general lyrics. The Redshift (2008) followed, now with Eerik Purdon taking bass. But the bass position would change again for the next album, New World Shadows (2011), now with Toni Mäki taking it.

Beyond (2013) saw Joonas Koto on guitars and songwriting on track 6. The bass position was once again in dispute for by the next album, Grey Heavens (2016), where Erkki Silvennoinen took it and backing vocals.

The drums were exchanged for The Burning Cold (2018) with Tuomo Latvala now on the stool.

Drums and bass were once again changed on Origin (2021) and May the Bridges We Burn Light the Way (2025) featuring Mikko Kivistö (bass/songwriting (track 6)), and Atte Pesonen (drums).
