VandenbergBIOGRAPHYVandenberg (1981-1987, 2020-present): a Hard Rock band from The Hague, Netherlands. L ed by Dutch guitarist Adrian Vandenberg, Vandenberg formed in the early eighties. He had previously recorded with a band called Teaser (he also is ex-Whitesnake), and in fact this band originally formed as a new version of that band, changing name shortly before releasing their first album in 1982. That debut album, simply entitled Vandenberg, and also under the membership of Dick Kemper (bass/bass pedals/vocals (backing)), Jos Zoomer (drums/vocals (backing)) and Bert Heerink (vocals (lead)), brought Van Halen to mind for several reasons (Dutch-born guitarist, similar name, vaguely similar logo, similar back covers of both bands' debut albums), and even musically the bands weren't that far apart either. That debut would quickly be followed up by Heading for a Storm in 1983 and Alibi in 1985. The band then split in 1987. 2020 in 2020 saw the first major line-up change due to the act's reformation with Ronnie Romero (vocals), Koen Herfst (drums) and Randy van der Elsen (bass) along side Vandenberg. Mats Levén (vocals/songwriting) stepped in for Sin (2023).
