ounded by ex-Agent Steel/ex-Abattoir guitarist Juan Garcia, Evildead would play old-school classic thrash metal. After recruiting Phil Flores (vocals), Albert Gonzales (guitar) and Bob Ailinz (ex-Necrophilia; drums) the act would sign to the German 'Steamhammer' label to debut in 1988 with Rise Above. Their sound, however, was already becoming light in comparison to the Death and black metal bands arriving on the scene by the time it was released, and the dated sound was most definitely profound by the time the follow-up, Annihilation Of Civilization (1990), was released. Their next set, The Underworld (1991), saw a new line-up emerge with Garcia and Phil Flores hanging around to recruit Dan Flores (guitar), Karlos Medina (bass) and Doug "The Claw" Clawson (drums). Joe Montelongo then took over on drums for their final effort, the live From The Depths Of The Underworld (1992), these last two efforts were not enough, however, and the act split. Garcia would later return in the reformed Agent Steel with bassist Karlos Medina.
