Biography

Athanasia (2002-present): a Rock band from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

alling themselves a "heavy alternative band" Athanasia created much of their music on the spot while "jamming" and then proceeded to produce and record that music in their own studio. Under the membership of Jamie Patterson (ex-Seventh Sign; vocals), David Khallil (ex-Seventh Sign; guitar/bass) and Colin Callihoo (drums), Athanasia (a word synonymous with immortality) would release their self-titled demo in 2004 featuring riffy guitar work and thrash metal-like beats to almost punk overtones in lyrics and vocals.

Footnote: Seventh Sign was started by ex-Nova Scotian Patterson, and had released a full-length album and appeared at the East Coast Music Awards Jam Festival with fellow ex-Blue Noser Khallil before relocating to Alberta. All members started their trade between the ages of 12 & 14.
