Strapps (1975-1979) is a Heavy Metal band from London, UK.
1975 would witness the arrival of Strapps, under the guidance of Ross Stagg (vocals/guitar), Noel Scott (keyboards), Joe Read (bass) and Mick Underwood (ex-Quatermass; drums) to release their debut eponymous album on the 'Harvest' label (later completely absorbed by 'EMI') to raise comparisons to Deep Purple and managed to get a following in Japan. Success elsewhere was a bit more difficult, especially in the US, with the subsequent albums of Secret Damage (1977) and Sharp Conversation (1978). Their final effort, Ball Of Fire, would be withdrawn from the market shortly after release in 1979 when the band went bust. Underwood would subsequently join ex-Deep Purple man Gillian.
