Spartan Warrior

Spartan Warrior (1983-1986) is a Heavy Metal band from Sunderland, UK.

partan Warrior was founded by Dave Wilkinson (vocals), Neil Wilkinson (guitar), Paul Swaddle (guitar), Tom Spencer (bass) and Gordon Webster (drums) in 1983. The group made their debut with a killer track titled Assassin on the Guardian compilation album of 1984 which opened the door to a contract with 'Roadrunner', the results of which were two poorly produced and some argue, musically uninspiring, albums incorporating elements of Rush, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin with few original ideas of their own, titled Spartan Warrior (1984) and Steel 'N' Chains (1985). The act returned to their day jobs in 1986.
