Memfis

Memfis (2003-present) is a Metalcore band from Gothenburg, Sweden.

earing no relation to the American band of a similar name (different spelling), Memfis would start up as a Swedish band influenced by '70s progressive hard rock but often playing more of a melodic death metal and metalcore style to much fanfare on their debut release The Wind-Up (2007) after releasing Judgement and Breathless demos in 2004 and 2005 respectively. Vertigo followed in 2011 as another full length, leaving Silva as an EP in 2013. The membership has been stable with: Mattias Engström (Guitars/Vocals/Rhodes/Mellotron/Yamaha CS10 Synth), Daniel Götstedt (Guitars/Vocals), Henrik Hedelund (Jazz Bass/MicroKORG XL) and Carl-Johan Lindblad (Drums).
