Blood Tsunami

Biography

Blood Tsunami (2004-present): a Thrash Metal band from Oslo, Norway.

T

he idea behind Blood Tsunami was to relive the thrash glory days of the 1980s Bay Area movement the movement that gave rise to the likes of Slayer and Metallica. The name was inspired by the lyrics to the Turbonegro track Drenched in Blood.

After a debut demo and some line-up changes the act settled on a membership featuring Pete Evil (Real Name: Peter Michael Kolstad Vegem; guitar/vocals), Dor Amazon (Real Name: Kristoffer Sørensen; guitar), Bosse (Real Name: Pete Boström; bass/backing vocals), and last but not least the famous Faust (Real Name: Bård Guldvik Eithun; ex-Emperor/ex-Aborym/ex-Scum) on drums. In 2005 a second demo was released that eventually got the attention of 'Candlelight' who signed them to a 3 album deal in 2006. In March of 2007 their debut, Thrash Metal would emerge as the debut album, an album featuring Manowar style cover art and the sound of high speed Thrash Metal and shredding guitars with growly death metal vocals that far surpassed the original Bay Area movement it pretended to mimick.
