Lithium (1998-present) is a Industrial Metal band from Stockholm, Sweden.

ithium was started in 1998 when Johnny Hagel (Machines) left Tiamat. As half of the former's outfit during its prime period of the Wildhoney (to which the act was nominated for the Swedish Grammy award) and Clouds albums and then former member of Sundown where he recorded and co-produced the Design-19 album, Hagel had been around the heavy metal world a bit when he started the Techno-Industrial outfit Lithium. Joining forces with Carl Nilsson (ex-Moth; Vocals/Machines) and Nico Pedersen (of Blindfold; guitar). In 1999 they released a 3 track demo titled Insect and in 2003 launched the pounding self-titled demo album and made their live debut at a sold out Tantogarden, Stockholm and M'era Luna festival two weeks there after in Hildesheim, Germany.
