Spurbury (1995-present) is a Rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
purbury is a four piece hard rock act hailing from the Toronto suburb of Burlington, Ontario, Canada featuring Ian Holroyd (vocals/guitar), Ryan Anderson (guitar/back. vocals), Jim Black (bass), and Ross Sumner (drums). The group began in the mid 1990s and has assumed many names until recently settling with Spurbury. Thier influences come from all genres of music, but are linked most directly to bands such as Hum, Chevelle, Idle Sons, QOTSA, and Finger Eleven. In late 2005 Spurbury made thier first release, a six song EP titled Throwing It All Away. Since it's release they have been busy performing their live showprimarily in the 'Golden Horseshoe' area. Their most recent and memorable dates have been at the Burlington Sound of Music Festival, and opening slots for Rock acts Out of your Mouth, and Burlingon's Idle Sons. Currently Spurbury is writing and rehearsing new material for their upcoming release.
