Electro Hippies

n 1986 Andy (vocals/guitar), Dom (vocals/bass) and Simon (drums/vocals) came together to produce hardcore metal specializing in a bass barrage with grunting. Once again a discovery by late night BBC DJ John Peel, who along with the Electro Hippies, eventually released an EP of these sessions titled simply The Peel Session in 1987 after the release of their debut a year before, Play Loud or Not at All (1986). But the promotion was all for naught for after two more albums in the form of The Only Good Punk... Is a Dead One (1988) and the live set simply titled, Live (1989), the act folded. A couple of compilations followed posthumously.
