Lynch Mob (1989-1993, 2000-present): a Hard Rock band from Los Angeles, California, USA.
ynch Mob was started by ex-Dokken members George Lynch (guitar) and Mick Brown (drums), along with ex-Cold Sweat man Oni Logan (vocals) and Anthony Esposito (ex-Beggars and Thieves; bass) to release Wicked Sensation in 1990 in a style not far off from their previous works, especially influenced by that of Dokken, not to mention retaining their old label 'Elektra'. The debut managed a US 46 chart spot, especially with the cover of the Rolling Stones' Street Fightin' Man. Robert Mason would replace Logan for the follow-up, Lynch Mob (1992), a 56 US charter; the platter also boasting a cover of Queen's Tie Your Mother Down. But just as they were rising starts they called it quits when Lynch went on to a solo career, and George eventually returning to Dokken. In 1993 the posthumous album Sacred Groove then emerged. In 2000, however, the act re-formed with George, Richard Harper (vocals), David Rozenmeyer and Gerry McCarthy to release Smoke This (2000).
