Wrathchild AmericaBiographyWrathchild America (1978-1992): a Thrash Metal band from Baltimore, Maryland, USA. T he Baltimore group initially known as Wrathchild, founded by Brad Divens (vocals/bass), Jay Abbene (guitar), Terry Carter (guitar/vocals) and Shannon Larkin (drums/vocals), would be forced to change their name by adding the suffix "America" right off the bat due to legal action by the British band of the same name. When everything had settled down, their debut album Climbing The Walls finally emerged on 'Atlantic' to only minimal interest in 1989. The follow-up 3-D emerged in 1991 to similar disinterest. Facing continual legal issues with the British act, and the dismissal by the record label who wished to follow the new grunge bands flooding the market, Wrathchild America would return in late 1992 under the name Souls at Zero on an indie label to release three more recordings before finally closing up shop with Larkin joining Ugly Kid Joe, and Abbene joining Crowbar, both acts are now also gone.
