Swordmaster

he band Swordmaster was a typical black metal act complete with musicians known only by demonic stage names. Started by ex-Opthalamia vocalist Whiplasher in 1997 at the height of the black metal movement, the act would be completed by Nightmare (guitar), Thunderbolt (bass) and Nicky Terror (drums); the last two joined the act after apparently meeting the others at a raucous house party. With the help of King Diamond axe man Andy La Roque, Swordmaster cut a few demos that led to the 'Osmose' imprint signing them, which in turn led to several warp speed black metal albums like Postmortem Tales (1997) and Moribund Transgoria (1999), along with EPs.
