Spartan WarriorBiography/HistorySpartan Warrior (1983-1986, 2006-present): a Heavy Metal band from Sunderland, UK. T he initial incarnation of Spartan Warrior was founded by Dave Wilkinson (vocals), Neil Wilkinson (guitar), Paul Swaddle (guitar), Tom Spencer (bass) and Gordon Webster (drums) in 1980. The group made their debut with a killer track titled Assassin on the Guardian compilation album of 1984 which opened the door to a contract with 'Roadrunner', the results of which were two poorly produced and some argue, musically uninspiring, albums incorporating elements of Rush, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin with few original ideas of their own, titled Spartan Warrior (1984) and Steel n' Chains (1985). The act returned to their day jobs in late 1985. In 2006 the act reformed featuring the Wilkinson brothers along with Mark Chapple (guitars) to release Behind Closed Eyes (2010). Chapple soon left, but under the membership of James Charlton (drums), Dan Rochester (guitars) and Tim Morton (bass) to release Hell to Pay (2018). Dashboard for Spartan Warrior
