Six Feet UnderSix Feet Under (1982-1985): a Heavy Metal band from Sweden. M odeling themselves after Deep Purple, Rainbow and Whitsnake, Six Feet Under was formed in 1982 by vocalist Bjorn Lodin and guitarist Thomas Larsson. With the recruiting of Peter Ostling (keyboards), Kent Jansson (bass) and Claus Annersjo (drums) they signed to 'Europa Film' the next year. The resulting two albums, Six Feet Under (1983) and Eruption (1984), featured little new. Larsson's guitar style sounded far too much like Ritchie Blackmore, giving the group a "been there, done that" feel. Marcus Kallstrum took over drums on their second offering, an album that sold even worse than the first. The band said sayonara in 1985. Footnote: There has, in fact, been two Six Feet Under's; one from Sweden, and one from the USA.
