Reverend

Biography

Reverend (1989-1993, 1998-2010, 2019-present): a Thrash Metal band from Seattle, Washington, USA.

T

his band has had a tremendous number of past members through it's life. After their demo titled just Demo (1989), their debut studio recording would arrive later that year as their self-titled EP featuring the line-up of Stuart Fuji (guitars), David Wayne (R.I.P. 2005; vocals), Brian Korban (guitars), Dennis Ohara (bass) and Scott Vogel (drums). The follow-up World Won't Miss You (1990) would feature Rick Basha (drums), while Play God (1991) saw Angelo Espino (bass/vocals (backing)) and Jason Rosenfeld (drums/percussion).

After the Live set, Live (1992) and a split with Blind Guardian titled Virgin Summer Slam that same year, the band split but reformed in 1998 to break up again in 2010 and re-start in 2019. It was during these reformation periods that a large number of musicians came and went from the group, most of whom were never on a recording except for the A Gathering of Demons (2001) EP featuring Wayne as the only original member alongside Chris Nelson (guitars/songwriting (tracks 1-3)), John Stahlman (bass/songwriting (tracks 1-3)), Todd Stotz (drums/songwriting (tracks 1-3)). The 2019 reformation would see the membership change again to Bill Rhynes (guitars; who had previously been with the band 1992-1993), Aaron Tackett (bass) and Bobby Lucas (vocals) along side Stotz. Former guitarist Brian Korban went on to join Heretic.
