Di'Anno (1991-2001): a Heavy Metal band from London, UK.

his was the first project of vocalist Paul Di'Anno after being fired from Iron Maiden. Three of its members had come from a NWOBHM/hard rock band Minas Tirith. While the band was originally named Lonewolf, they ran into a name conflict with another band using the same name so opted for the moniker Di'Anno instead.

While touring, Paul Di'Anno refused to play Iron Maiden songs regardless what the audience wanted. Instead the shows featured mostly of original Di'Anno (band) music, mixed with covers (most notably You Really Got Me and Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood by Kinks). The six-piece disbanded shortly after they were done touring due to lack of success.

In 1998, Di'Anno (the man) teamed up with expat Brazilian guitarist Paulo Turin while living in São Paulo, Brazil during 2000. A new band was created initially under the banner of Nomad and featured an all-Brazilian line-up.

Though largely unconnected to the previous project, the name Di'Anno was used again with a new band in the style of the work he had done as Paul Di'Anno (as a soloist) and Killers.

After only one album with this line-up, Di'Anno returned to working under his full name.

As Di'Anno (the band) and the membership of Paul Di'Anno (vocals), Lee Slater (guitars/vocals (backing)), P.J. Ward (guitars/vocals (backing)), Kevin Browne (bass/vocals (backing)), Mark Venables (keyboards/vocals (backing)) and Dave Irving (drums) they would debut with Di'Anno (1984) and would follow it up with Nomad (2000) and the whole new line-up featuring Paul Di'Anno (vocals), Paulo Turin (R.I.P. 2021; guitars), Chico Dehira (guitars), Felipe Andreoli (bass) and Aquiles Priester (drums).
