Monastery (1991): a Death Metal band from Schiedam, Netherlands.

utch band Monastery (not to be confused by the other Dutch band of the same name from Bedum, would exist only one year and release one demo in the form of Ripping Terror (1991) with the membership of Lars Rosenberg (ex-(Carbonized/Mental Distortion/No Class/Entombed/Furcas/Roachpowder/Therion/Serpent/Taura); bass/vocals), Aad Kloosterwaard (of-Sinister/Voracious Scourge/Weapons to Hunt/ex-(Absurd Universe/Godly Beings/Infinited Hate/Moordzucht/Houwitser/Supreme Pain/Thanatos/Blastcorps/No Face Slave); drums) and Ron van de Polder (guitars/vocals) quickly dispersing to other more known projects, specifically Aad Kloosterwaard moving on to Sinister. The remaining releases of Sinister / Monastery (split with the newly formed Sinister; 1991), The Process - Church of the Final Judgement (EP; 1992) and Mutilate the Corpse / In Partibus Infidelium (split with Anarchus; 1992) all released posthumously based on the recording sessions for that lone demo.
