De Profundis (2005-present): a Black Metal band from London, UK.

T

aking their name from a song by Abruptum, De Profundis opened shop in 2005 to debut with Beyond Redemption (2007) featuring Roman Subbotin (guitars), Soikot Sengupta (guitars), Craig Land (vocals/lyrics), Aleksej Obradovic (bass) and David Andrews (drums).

A Bleak Reflection (2010) and The Emptiness Within (2012) followed with replacement members Nick Tingle (drums) and Arran McSporran (bass/fretless bass), while Paul Nazarkardeh took guitars for the Frequencies EP (2014). This line-up remained through Kingdom of the Blind (2015), and the compilation Decayed 2007-2017 (2017).

For The Blinding Light of Faith (2018), Tom Atherton took drums, while bass was assumed by Steve Woodcock for The Corruption of Virtue (2022).
