Biography

Firth of Damnation (2004-2015): a Black Metal band from Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

T

he founder and sole operator of Firth of Damnation was Nazgul Vathron (Real Name: Ian Andrew McKinney) who performed all instruments and vocals with the exception of occasional assistance from other musicians, but the operation ended when he died in 2015 of a car accident. Before his death, however, he released a few demos and splits but most notably was his EPs and albums in the form of Carpe Noctum (2007), Blackest of Nocturnal Fires EP (2008), Carpe Diem (2008), Crossing the Unhallowed Path (2008; featuring assistance from Hatecorpse (Real Name: Josh Gardner; additional vocals) and Lucifierium (Real Name: Cary Jacobs; additional vocals)) and Mark of Ascendancy (2009). Firth of Damnation were also due to release a split with Das Schwarz in 2008 (a band from Norway who released only one demo in 2007), but it never happened.
