BrainstormBiographyBrainstorm (1989-present): a Power Metal band from Heidenheim, Germany. F ormed in 1989 and starting in 1990 with the Hand of Doom demo in 1990 under the membership of Stefan Fronk (vocals), Milan Loncaric (guitars/vocals (backing)), Torsten Ihlenfeld (guitars/vocals (backing)), Peter Waldstätter (bass) and Dieter Bernert (drums), Brainstorm would carry on with the demos Heart of Hate (1993), The 5th Season (1994) and Promo 96 (1996) with the membership fluctuations of Marcus Jürgens (vocals) and Andreas Mailänder (bass) before releasing their debuts proper in the form of Hungry (1997), Unholy (1998) and Ambiguity (2000); the latter featuring Andy B. Franck now on vocals. This line-up stayed through Metus Mortis (2001) and Soul Temptation (2003). Brainstorm's first live album would be Live Suffering: The Official Bootleg (2004) before releasing the All Those Words EP (2005) and Liquid Monster (2005). For Downburst (2008), the band was reduced for a four-piece featuring only Franck, Ihlenfeld, Loncaric and Bernert; Ihlenfeld and Loncaric assuming bass as well as guitar duties. The bass would finally be filled full time by Antonio Ieva for Memorial Roots (2009), On the Spur of the Moment (2011), Firesoul (2014), Scary Creatures (2016), Midnight Ghost (2018) and Wall of Skulls (2021).
