Remain (2004-2013): a Death Metal band from Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
n 2004, after years of playing music together, five friends saw their potential as a metal band and began writing their first album. The songs that would soon unfold would display both great musicianship as well as Remain's own distinct sound of heavy metal. On 6th June, 2006 their debut album, Died A Hero would be released under the leadership of Joe Harwood (vocals), Steve Samson (guitar), Jason Perissinotto (guitar), Blake Murphy (bass/backing vocals), and Judd Bronson (drums).
Through their rigorous rehearsal schedule, Remain tightened their sound and started playing shows. Never abandoning their rehearsals, Remain played as many shows as possible, and as many places possible. After the release of their first album, Remain played countless shows in their hometown Barrie, and in Toronto, and have played in Hamilton, Sudbury, London, and Montreal to name a few. As Remain played more and more shows they would share the stage with such acts as: Testament, Quo Vadis, Threat Signal, Obituary, Alabama Thunder Pussy, Usurper (USA), Daemon, Anonymous, to name a few. Where Evil Lies (2008) and Remain (2010) self-titled would follow.
