Witch

ormed in 2005 by Dinosaur Jr. guitarist Joseph Donald Mascis Jr. and long time friend Dave Sweetapple (bass), Witch would grow to include Kyle Thomas (vocals/guitar) and Graham Clise (guitar), and although they are listed as from Los Angeles, the band members hail from as far away as Vermont, Los Angeles, and Massachusetts. Mascis, for his part does not play guitar in the band but instead plays drums, an instrument he has known longer than guitars. The eponymous debut album was released on March 7, 2006. They also contributed an alternate version of the song Rip Van Winkle to the Invaders compilation by 'Kemado Records' later that year. They would follow this up with their sophomore effort Paralyzed (2008).
