Pezz (1981-2001): a Punk band from Memphis, Tennessee, USA.

D

espite forcing Canadian act Billy Talent to assume their new name after claiming international rights to Pezz, this Pezz didn't do so well by release two relatively unknown albums in the form of One Last Look (1997) and Warmth & Sincerity (1999).Naming themselves in tribute to their favorite candy that comes out of a little plastic case, Marv Stockwell (guitar/vocals), Ceylon Mooney (guitar/vocals), Scott (bassist) and Nick (drums) released their first EP, Jalopy (1992), followed by Free Ride the next year. After Roy was recruited to re-fill the bass position, their debut full-length, Living the Life of Riley (1995) would arrive. Joey Mullinix took over the bass the next year. It would be after drummer Chris Coble joined that their second album, One Last Look , that same year. Their third effort, Warmth & Sincerity (1999) followed. In 2001, the band released the 7" EP And So It Stands and the full-length With Everything We Got, but soon after the act went on permanent hiuatus.
