Misery Index (2001-present): a Death Metal band from Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

F

ormed in 2001, Misery Index is an American death metal band formed by Jason Netherton (bass/vocals), Mike Harrison (guitar/vocals), and Kevin Talley (drums). From 2006-2010, its line-up changed to feature Netherton (bass/vocals), John Voyles (guitar), Mark Kloeppel (rhythm guitar/vocals) and Adam Jarvis (drums). In 2010, Voyles was replaced by Darin Morris.

The band runs its own record label, 'Anarchos Records', through which it has released their debut EP Overthrow (2001), the Dissent EP in 2004, and the 2010 compilation Pulling out the Nails. Their debut full length album, Retaliate (2003), was released on 'Nuclear Blast Records'. That album would be followed by Discordia (2006), Traitors (2008), Heirs to Thievery (2010), The Killing Gods (2014) and Rituals of Power (2019), the live set, Live in Munich LP (2013), as well as the Dead Sam Walking compilation (2008).
