Jikunsprain (2007-present): a Heavy Metal band from Indonesia.

ounded as a personal project by Jikun (better known as Jikun/rif) in early 2007, JikuNspraiN was formed to express his guitar playing as instrumental rock music.

Jikun, who likes fast guitar playing and produces distortion, named his band JikuNspraiN. The odd name is a concatenation of his name along with 'sprain'. Why 'sprain'? When he was collecting material for his first solo album, he felt his left hand was numb. Upon examination, it turned out that his left wrist joint was compressed. This was due to an accident 10 years ago which resulted in an untreated broken left wrist. In memory of this, 'sprain' was added to the name.

Initially, the idea was to produce instrumental music but soon into the project, songs with vocals was added when he decided that Indonesians were not used to listening to rock instrumentals, having access to mostly jazz and classical, and therefore it would be a harder sell.

Under the membership of Jikun (guitar), Daeng Oktav (bass), Bima (drums) and Ogie Megadale (vocals). the act would release Sprained (2009), Bertuhan Dengan Marah (2017) and the all-instrumental Collision Course (2021).
