Lithium (1998-present): a Industrial Metal band from Stockholm, Sweden.

tarted in 1998 Lithium was formed when Johnny Hagel (drum machine programming) left Tiamat. As half of the former's outfit during its prime period of the Wildhoney (to which the act was nominated for the Swedish Grammy award) and Clouds albums and then former member of Sundown where he recorded and co-produced the Design-19 album, Hagel had been around the heavy metal world a bit when he started the techno-industrial outfit Lithium. Joining forces with Carl Nilsson (ex-Moth; vocals/drum machine programming) and Nico Pedersen (of Blindfold; guitar). In 1999 they released a three track demo titled Insect, and in 2003 launched the pounding self-titled demo album as well as making their live debut at a sold out Tantogarden, Stockholm and M'era Luna festival two weeks there after in Hildesheim, Germany.
