All That Remains

fter Phil Labonte (vocals) was asked to leave Shadows Fall because of "musical differences", he turned to his side project All That Remains. Under the membership of Chris Bartlett (guitar), Oli Herbert (guitar), Dan Egan (bass) and Michael Bartlett (drums) to release their debut Behind Silence and Solitude (2002) via 'Prosthetic Records' featuring a melodic death metal style.

Their second album, This Darkened Heart (2004), produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz featured better production, yielding three singles and a video. The album also featured new guitarist guitarist Mike Martin.

The Fall of Ideals (2006), their third effort, was a breakthrough release, as it entered the Billboard 200 charts at number 75, selling almost 13,000 copies in its first week. Two music videos were created; one incorporating footage from the horror movie Saw III, a film which featured it as the lead track from the film's soundtrack. The band was also a part of Ozzfest 2006. The track Six is featured on guitar Hero II video game as an unlockable song. The live CD/DVD album, All That Remains Live (2007) followed, along with Overcome (2008), For We Are Many (2010) and A War You Cannot Win (2012) all featuring drummer Jason Costa.
