Coffin Texts (1994-present): a Death Metal band from Los Angeles, California, USA.

heir name sounds bizarre until you realize the the bulk of their lyrics have featured Egyptian mythology. Under the membership of Richard Gonzalez (guitars), Robert Cardenas (vocals/bass/lyrics) and Mars Castro (drums) Coffin Texts would debut with Gods of Creation, Death & Afterlife in 2000. It would be another 12 years, however, before the band returned, under the same membership, to release The Tomb of Infinite Ritual (2012) and Deities of the Prime Evil Chaos EP (2016).
