Purgatory (1991-present): a Death Metal band from Jakarta, Indonesia.

A

lthough originally known as another name, Purgatory would open up shop in 1991 and use the current name 1994 under the line-up of Al (Real Name: Aminuddin Almuqaddas; drums), Lutfi (guitars), Budi (guitars), Bobby (Real Name: Bobby Partenti; bass) and Arie (vocals) to release Ambang Kepunahan (1999). For the follow-up, 7:172 (2003), Bone (Real Name: Bounty Umbara) took over bass, while DJackal (Real Name: Anggi Umbara; samples/programming/turntable) joined. Beauty Lies Beneath (2006) saw Sandman (Real Name: Sandy Siregar) assume vocals.
