alling themselves a "heavy alternative band" Athanasia created much of their music on the spot while "jamming" and then proceeded to produce and record that music in their own studio. Under the membership of Jamie Patterson (ex-Seventh Sign; vocals), David Khallil (ex-Seventh Sign; guitar/bass) and Colin Callihoo (drums), Athanasia (a word synonymous with immortality) would release their self-titled demo in 2004 featuring riffy guitar work and thrash metal-like beats to almost punk overtones in lyrics and vocals.
