Used For GlueBiographyUsed For Glue (2002-present): a Rock band from Barrie, Ontario, Canada. L ike many bands before them, the Greater Toronto Area offered a rich breeding ground for band talent and the converging of sound styles. Sounding much like the '70s stadium acts like Elton John and mixed with modern 1990s alternative rock like Foo Fighters or Sloan, Used For Glue would produce a listenable sound on their debut 3-track demo, Fool Yourself, under the membership of Sean Trombley (ex-Poor Get Fat; vocals/guitar), Andrew Shropshire (ex-Poor Get Fat; guitar/backing vocals), brothers Sean (ex-Fluid; bass) and Jamie Taylor (ex-Fluid; drums). Trombley and Shropshire had previously met local acclaim in the band Poor Get Fat who shared the stage with I Mother Earth and Max Webster, not to mention getting attention by many of the Toronto area's most influential rock stations like Q-107 (CILQ) and CFNY. The Taylor brothers, on the other hand, got acclaim with their membership in Fluid, a band that had opened with System of a Down, Fear Factory, Wide Mouth Mason, and other influential acts of the day to release their Elektrolux album on the European 'ZYX/Goldencore' label.
