UnbrokenBiography/HistoryUnbroken (1991-1995, 1998, 2010-2012, 2014): a Metalcore band from San Diego, California, USA. I nfluential in the Southern California hardcore metal scene in the mid-to-late 1990s, Unbroken would form choosing a name emphasizing the band's dedication to the straight edge philosophy of drug abstinence; most of the members would eventually surrender this belief. Unbroken's style mixed punkrock rock with heavy metal in a style known as "metalcore". The band's membership would include Rob Moran (bass), Todd Beattie (drums/percussion), Steven Andrew Miller (guitar), Dave Claibourn (vocals) and Eric Allen (R.I.P. 1998; guitar), from such bands as Struggle, Swing Kids, Kill Holiday, Julia, Some Girls, Smooth Man Automatic, Johnny Angel, Stabbed By Words, and Over My Dead Body, either before, during, or after the act's existence. During their tenure, Unbroken would release two albums, Ritual (1993) and Life. Love. Regret. (1994) on 'New Age Records'. Both recordings were re-released on one CD, Death of True Spirit (2003), where-as a collection of their EPs and singles would be released back in 2000 titled It's Getting Tougher to Say the Right Things. See All... ⏬ Brian Hill would briefly assume vocals in 1991. guitarist Eric Allen committed suicide 3 years after the original breakup of the band; the act reformed soon after his death for a single show as a benefit to Allen's family.
