Treblinka

Biography/History

Treblinka (1987-1989, 2008): a Black Metal band from Stockholm, Sweden.

he membership of Treblinka Stefan Lagergren (guitars), Jorgen Thullberg (bass), Johan Edlund (vocals) and Anders Holmberg (bass/vocals) would form Taimat in 1989 after the release of two demos as well as Severe Abominations EP (1989) and the Shrine of the Pentagram compilation release posthumously in 2013.

The act re-united in 2008 sans Edlund for the one-off release party of the Swedish Death Metal book; brothers Erik "Tyrant" Gustavsson and Per "Hellbutcher" Gustavsson of Nifelheim replaced him.

Footnote: There exists a two CD bootleg compilation called Treblinka. The first disc features the EP and both demos (in reverse chronological order). The second disc has a live concert from Stockholm April 7th, 1989, as well as a rehearsal set recorded on January 3rd, 1989.
